American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a night shift surgical progressive care unit position with Epic experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts, three nights per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Unit utilizes the Epic EMR; experience with Epic is required
  • Typical patient ratio is 1:5, with a target ratio of 1:4
  • All travelers are expected to float within acuity as needed
  • Patient population includes surgical cases
  • Assigned to a 13-week contract with no eligibility for extension if residing within 100 miles of the facility
  • Candidates who live 50-99.9 miles away and those under 50 miles may be considered for one assignment with different terms; local pay rates apply for under 50 miles
  • Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays if the assignment includes the winter holiday season
  • Return travelers must not have worked at the facility in the past 12 months and may have additional restrictions after July 1, 2025
  • Orientation includes up to 5 hours of modules and 2 hours of Epic training
  • All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; no approval for time off during Christmas
  • Dress code and scrubs to be confirmed during onboarding

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Prior experience in a hospital PCU setting required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Driver's license and Social Security number required for onboarding
