Responsible for assembly and testing of production of products. Ensures that assembly functions are completed in accordance with established safety, quality and production standards and documents. Prepares related documentation, including test procedures, reports, and assembly history records.
Essential Duties \n - Immediately reports any safety, quality, production, equipment, and tooling problems as well as any needed maintenance, calibration, or expired material issues
\n - Follows and completes assembly history records to align, fit, and assemble product components using hand tools, power tools and fixtures
\n - Follows and completes test procedures using test stands, instruments, and equipment for products
\n - Ensure compliance with by reading and interpreting drawings, parts lists, specifications, assembly history records, and test procedures to inspect, assemble and test products and subassemblies
\n - Utilize Lean Manufacturing to execute production schedule and keep the area safe and clean
\n - Identifies and assists will implement improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency including: assembly history records, test procedures, equipment and build sequence
\n - Assists with building and setting up new work cells and test set-ups using specialized equipment
\n - Performs failure evaluation, repairs, and rework on product assemblies in accordance with standard procedures to meet operational specifications and tolerances
\n - Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on various production equipment
\n - Provides training to other Manufacturing Technicians
\n - Adheres to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment and participating in Safety, Health, and Environmental and Quality programs, training, and activities, including wearing required PPE

How you will do it \n - Lead the effort to perform root cause analyses, resolve and implement product fixes, modifications, and design enhancements
\n - Track, troubleshoot, and identify the root cause for product issues escalated to engineering
\n - Lead product yield improvement, reduce product variability, and drive product cost reduction
\n - Develop automated test capabilities to support product design verification and long-term testing
\n - Provide engineering support for component obsolescence issues
\n - Provide engineering support for product compliance
\n - Change management coordination across the PDT product lines
\n - Support the design and testing of new products
\n - Support the transfer of new products from engineering to production
\n - Support driving full documentation of design including BOM, drawings, and procedures
\n

Qualifications & Skills \n - Knowledge of soldering, including J-STD 001 current/expired certification
\n - Knowledge of hydraulics and /or gear and gerotor pumps.
\n - Knowledge of Environmental Stress Screening Equipment (ESS): Vibe Table, thermal cycle, etc.
\n - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
\n - Position is subject to ITAR restrictions
\n

Physical Demands include: \n - Requires the ability to access all areas of the facility.
\n - Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use office equipment and tools repeatedly for extended periods of time.
\n - Ability to lift 25 pounds in the course of normal duties.
\n - Ability to see details at close range (near vision).
\n - Dexterity for use of tools required for job.
\n

Work Conditions include: \n - Required to work with hazardous chemicals.
\n - May be exposed to environment with loud noise and extreme temperatures.

Tools Used: \n - Software: Oracle, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
\n - Manufacturing / Test Equipment (Torque wrenches, Hand, and Power Tools, ESD)

Compensation Employee Type: Hourly
Salary Minimum: $55,000
Salary Maximum: $70,000
