Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with strong LDRP skills and Epic EMR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital Birth Center with 20 beds total, including 12 Labor & Delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum, and a 6-bed Level II NICU
• Care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients as well as newborns
• Responsibilities include circulating for C-sections and baby catching/receiving
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No call required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Teal scrubs are provided
• Candidates must be comfortable working with a diverse Russian and Spanish-speaking patient population; multilingual skills are preferred
• APGAR scoring and assessment are essential responsibilities
• No on-call shifts; nurse practitioner on call
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active WA or compact RN license
• BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of total Labor & Delivery experience with at least 1 year in LDRP
• Ability to perform cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and administer Pitocin
• Demonstrated post-partum care experience from transition through discharge
• Required to circulate C-sections and receive newborns
• Scrub experience preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong breastfeeding knowledge required
