Senior Tax Accountant – Onsite Opportunity in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles

Are you an experienced tax professional seeking an exciting career opportunity? A new role has opened in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles for a Senior Tax Accountant. This onsite position offers a chance to work in-depth with global tax provisions, compliance, and audits while honing your expertise in ASC 740 and tax software.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in preparing global tax provisions, including federal, state, international, and joint ventures using ONESOURCE Tax Provision software.

• Collaborate with your team and attest auditors to review tax accounting packages under ASC 740.

• Calculate tax provisions, FIN 18 tax rates, and effective tax rate analyses while identifying discrete items per legal entity.

• Dive deeply into construction tax accounting (IRC 460), stock compensation, partnerships, and permanent/temporary tax differences.

• Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax compliance using ONESOURCE Tax Compliance software.

• Resolve income and indirect tax audits, establish tax reserves, and enhance tax function processes, such as managing subscriptions, tracking budgets, and resolving notices.

• Optimize processes for greater efficiency and accuracy in tax operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of tax experience, ideally blending corporate and public accounting.

• Proficiency with ONESOURCE Tax Provision & Income Tax software, Bloomberg Tax Research/Fixed Assets, and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Experience with large publicly traded company's tax returns

• A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who can handle multiple assignments accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with management, cross-functional teams, and external advisors.

• Knowledgeable of GAAP rules, C-Corp and Partnership tax processes, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
