Talascend is currently seeking an Executive Recruiter for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas . This position works 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Overview In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic and leadership recruitment for the region, partnering cross‑functionally with business leaders, HR business partners, and other stakeholders to develop search strategies and deliver executive, strategic and hard‑to‑find talent. Responsibilities Lead full life‑cycle recruitment for strategic, executive, and hard‑to‑fill positions including sourcing, pre‑screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation. Develop unique and robust search strategies across a variety of functions and disciplines including research to identify specific target companies and talent based on needs. Develop talent prospects into active candidates through effective candidate engagement and evaluation. Build out talent networks and leverage recognized industry sources to develop external talent pipelines. Provide strategic guidance and advice to business leaders and other stakeholders on talent market and search strategies. Identify and build relationships with strategic talent in the industry. Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System with timely and accurate candidate status information. Maintain efficient and effective communication with candidates, business leaders, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field plus 8 years of related professional experience 12 years of related professional experience in lieu of a degree Requirements Knowledge of relevant employment laws & compliance requirements. Significant experience with full life‑cycle recruiting including familiarity with high volume and fast paced environments. Prior experience in salary negotiations and assessing talent. Prior experience recruiting for executive, hard‑to‑fill, or niche positions. Demonstrated ability to recruit for strategic and hard‑to‑fill roles on a national level. Strong external/internal networking and collaboration skills. Understanding of Talent Acquisition best practices. Strong communication, relationship management, analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated understanding of functional organizations, matrix structure and organizational culture. Preferred Requirements Expert level knowledge in all full life‑cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, job analysis, etc. Knowledge and experience with behavioral interviewing techniques. Trained on Talent Acquisition systems & software (SuccessFactors or other applicant tracking systems, Candidate Relationship Management tools, etc.). Experience working with global teams and cultures. Ability to present new recruiting concepts to executive leadership and technical communities.
