Hello! We are currently hiring for Cable Technician here in Mesa, AZ!

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Cable Tech 1, you will be responsible for pulling cables, assisting with Tech 2 tasks, running and handling materials, and utilizing hand and power tools effectively. This role involves working with structured cabling, cable installation, and testing copper cables such as Cat 5 and Cat 6. You will also have the opportunity to work with fiber optic cables.

Responsibilities

• Pull cables through pathways and terminate and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).
• Assist Tech 2 in various tasks and handle materials efficiently.
• Utilize hand and power tools proficiently.
• Climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.
• Install cable trays, ladder racks, and j-hooks.
• Perform rack assembly and interpret blueprints and other project documents.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Essential Skills

• 0-1+ years of experience in telecom/cable installation preferred.
• Strong ability to pull cable through pathways.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Experience with fiber optic cable, conduit, and cable tray installation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
• OSHA and lift certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient with interpreting blueprints and project documents.
• Comfortable working in various environments and conditions.
• Experience with scissor lifts and working with heights.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
