We are a Part‑time opportunity with an hourly rate of $22–24 per hour plus tips, and shifts are on‑call. Position Summary The Banquet Server plays a key role in delivering seamless and elevated service for special events, corporate functions, and private activations within the Tenant Lounge. This guest‑facing position blends hospitality excellence with efficient execution, working collaboratively with event leads and kitchen/bar teams to ensure all aspects of the guest experience are executed to Porter Hospitality standards. Essential Functions Execute event set‑up, service, and tear‑down based on Banquet Event Order (BEO) standards. Prepare dining and service areas, ensuring accuracy of place settings and cleanliness of space. Provide full‑service food and beverage hospitality for standing and seated service formats. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, event leads, and fellow team members. Anticipate guest needs and respond with grace, urgency, and care. Maintain knowledge of food & beverage offerings, including allergens, specials, and beverage pairings. Support logistics: linen handling, equipment reset, glassware polish, etc. Ensure all service ware is cleared efficiently and discreetly throughout event duration. Support additional duties as assigned, including dish support or event reset. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong knowledge of event set‑up, execution, tear‑down, and reset. Confidence in answering guest questions regarding programming and offerings. Willingness to learn and grow through ongoing education with Porter Hospitality. Ability to work independently. Education / Experience 1+ year experience in banquets, restaurants, catering, or fine dining preferred. Strong guest service instincts and clear communication skills. Must lift up to 30 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and navigate multiple service points. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands & Work Environment Regular requirements include talking or hearing, using hands or fingers, handling objects, standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Occasionally, lifting or moving up to 70 lbs is required. The position involves moderate noise, potential outdoor work, and requires reliable transportation.
