Position Summary

The Apartment Leasing Agent is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue by leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting daily property operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents and plays a key role in maintaining the community’s professional image.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and online
• Conduct property tours and effectively present apartment features, amenities, and community benefits
• Convert leads into leases through strong follow-up, relationship building, and sales techniques
• Process rental applications, screenings, and lease documents in compliance with Fair Housing laws
• Maintain accurate resident and prospect records in property management software
• Collect rent payments and assist with basic accounting or reporting tasks as needed
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and unit readiness with maintenance and management teams
• Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a timely, professional manner
• Assist with marketing efforts including online listings, signage, social media, and outreach events
• Support property inspections and ensure leasing areas are clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apartment leasing or property management required
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Sales-oriented mindset with attention to detail
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations required
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (Word, Excel, email); property management software a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Requirements

• Full-time availability, including some weekends as required
• Reliable transportation
• Professional appearance and demeanor
